When you begin to reclaim and proclaim your true identity in Christ out loud, you will be victorious over the enemy.
I have also created another version of this article called Your Identity in Christ -- Full Version, which quotes each verse in full that I have referenced in this article. I strongly encourage you to either look up these verses in your Bible or read the full version, which is much meatier than this one.
I have also created a three-fold, quick-reference card that you can print out, which lists your identity in Christ, just as I have laid it out in this article. It contains only the Scripture references, not the full text of each verse. This keeps it concise enough to fold and keep handy in your Bible or hang on the front of your refrigerator to remind you who you are. If you would like one, simply click on one of the following links: Who Am I? (3-fold card) or Who Am I? (2-fold Portrait)

Meanwhile, if you have not yet come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then I'd like to share what you need to begin to understand about your own identity. If that's you, then please see the section at the end of this page titled, "Do You Want to Know Him?"

Do You Want to Know Him?
If you want to know Jesus personally, you can. It all begins when you repent and believe in Jesus. Do you know what God's Word, the Bible says?
“Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” (Mar 1:14b-15). He preached that we must repent and believe.
Please see my explanation of this in my post called "Do You Want to Know Jesus?"

Wednesday 24th November 2021.Thank you for this awesome article, "Your Identity In Christ." There are so many wonderful scriptures about who we are in Christ. Which gives me great confidence in our Lord and perseverance to be a stronger witness to the lost.
ReplyDeleteI was an orphan, and fostered by abusive foster parents, ( a sad and painful story I can't go into). But I had no identity and knew no love until Jesus sent me the vision of his mother telling me that I am a child of God at 14, and my encounter with apostle Paul, and more of our Lord's amazing love when I met Jesus face to face of my death experience at 17 and being raised back to life. I was healed and so happy that I belong to the family of God and I want to tell the world of God's wonderful love.
If anyone reading this article was or is an orphan or a widow, or any one else. I strongly recommend printing off the "Who am I? '' card in this article and read and study it every day.
And you will soon learn of the amazing love of God for us and gain confidence in God.
Our Lord showed me these two scriptures which gave me so much more confidence in our Lord and Saviour.
Psalm 146: 9. says.
The Lord watches over sojourners; he upholds the widows and the fatherless.
Romans 8: 14-17. says
For as many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons and daughters of God. For we have not been given a spirit of bondage again to fear; but we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father.
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children , then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Concluding.
I thank and praise our Lord for all his amazing love to us, and that we have an urgent message to tell the world with boldness and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in us.
Thank you so much for this wonderful article. Bless you all.
From sister Catherine Atherton.
You're welcome. Glad it helped! God bless you.
